Army Command Headquarters Released a Press Release Explaining the Matter Regarding the Media Coverage of “Troops Prevent Drunk Driving by Forcing Comrades to Download Designated Driving App, Army Received Numerous Negative Comments”.

Regarding the media coverage of “Troops Prevent Drunk Driving by Forcing Comrades to Download Designated Driving App, Army Received Numerous Negative Comments”, the 10th Army Command has stated today (12th) that “Zero Tolerance on Drunk Driving” is a government policy, and that the Armed Forces follows its consistent standpoint of protecting and loving soldiers and officers as well as respecting human lives, hence it continues to implement education on prevent drunk driving. “Designated Driving” is one of the multivariate methods of drunk driving prevention provided by the command headquarters for the soldiers and officers based on kind gesture, and the command headquarters hereby clarifies that it has never forced any soldiers and officers to download the designated driving App.

The 10th Army Command emphasized that drunk driving is the enemy of the state, and drunk driving prevention has always been one of the primary focuses of the Armed Forces; the command headquarters will continue to implement prevention in the future to maintain the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces.
